Click Here! The crunch is really the most over rated stomach exercise. It puts a strain on your neck if you keep you hands behind you head. I recommend the bicycle crunch , Hanging leg raise, and the roman chair, or start with a basic sit-up even if it is half way. If you feel any discomfort or sharp pains in you back stop.

Now I am also recommend a total body workout with weights or your own body weight  , push up, sit-up, pull -ups, weighless squat and lunges are very effective and progress to weights. The point is to build lean muscle mass. Ladies please dont be afraid of the weights . You should use weights that you can lift 25-30 times,light weights but not so light you throw you joints, out of wack by throwing the weight. I will go over foods and how to get a flat stomach without starving yourself . We must go over Cardiovascular exercise first.  Cardio is the fat burner. Jogging, fast paced walk, walking if you never exercise or walk fast. Jumping rope is excellent . If you run never run fast. Sprints are for the advanced and physically fit. You should be able to carry on a conversation or sing your favorite song on your mp3 player (recommended), makes you forget you are exercising. Cardio is best to do first thing in the morning on a empty stomach. If you have to eat, eat protien only, a egg, a chicken breast. If you workout on an empty stomach you body will burn stored fat as energy. Makes sense!
